Review by Journeywoman for Rating: I''ve yet to find any of the dogs I know that love it. I still have my allergic dog entiag it, but she has to be hungry to eat this without doctoring. My vet doesn''t want me feeding her people food so I add some of Newman''s or Happy Hips canned to it.I''ve talked to a couple of vets about prescription diet and they all push the big company brand names. The common objection appears to be the soy used in Newman''s to increase the protein count.I am willing to put a little flavor in this to feed may dog high quality, social responsible food.I may be the only person who has made the following mistake but, assuming you catch the Amazon sales, make sure you are ordering the bag size you want. I thought I was getting a good price on one order until the food came and it was the seven instead of twelve pound bag. |

I''m a little fceousnd by the question. You can''t undo the effects of terrible eating habits, but any change toward more healthful eating is always the way to go. If the mother is still pregnant, I would encourage her to take her vitamins and add some healthy veggies every day. If she''s already had the baby, don''t stop to think about poor eating habits in the past. Make a vow to make small changes one at a time to improve the whole family''s diet. Listen to the pediatrician as to what the child needs for healthy growth, and realize that mothers can only do so much. There are magazines and books at every corner that show how to incorporate more healthful foods in to a family''s diet. Start slowly and recognize your accomplishments. A lifetime of healthy eating habits is the true goal. |
